EVOLUCIO, FURMINT, TOKAJ, HUNGARY Was $11.98 Now $9.98
The Evolucio Furmint is a crisp, vibrant, dry white wine from the Tokaj area of Hungary-famous for its sweet dessert wines. Unoaked, it bursts with citrus and stone fruit notes. Pair with goat cheese, grilled snapper, Thai dishes, and warm weather.
BONNY DOON, PICPOUL, ARROYO SECO, BEESWAX VINEYARD Was $16.98 Now $13.98
I know that it’s impossible to smell the sensation of saltiness, but the nose of our Picpoul is maritime, coupled with a discreet suggestion of peaches, wildflowers and the (we really can’t help it, but it’s in there) ubiquitous fragrance of beeswax. Pairs beautifully with anything coming out of the sea.
MAISON VIALADE MARSELAN, LANGUEDOC, FR Was $14.98 Now $11.98
The Maison Vialade, Marselan sports an intense color with purple hues. A powerful nose with notes of jammy red and black fruit leads to a supple palate, soft tannins and good aromatic intensity. Perfect with charcuterie, grilled meat and cheese. Marselan is an interesting cross of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. It is grown in very small quantities in select vineyards in Southern France.
VEEDHA, DOURO RED, PORTUGAL Was $16.98 Now $13.98
Portugal is a great place for value. It is a region becoming well known for its dry red wines (not just Port). The Douro is one of the world’s hottest growing regions and is known for producing full bodied, structured reds. This blend of indigenous varieties (Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca) displays lots of ripe dark fruit (concentrated dark plum, black fig and dark cherry), with notes of chocolate mousse and spice.
