Molly’s Spirits Pull at the Mile High Q & Brew

A little two-steppin’, bbq and booze – sounds like a fun way to spend a Saturday night, right? Well what if I told you it benefited a great cause? I know – it sounds even better! Enter the Mile High Q & Brew at Mile High Station, the annual fundraiser for our neighbor the Tennyson Center for Children. The Tennyson Center provides residential and therapeutic services as well as a K-12 school for Colorado children ages five to 18. Many of these children have been abused or neglected while others are dealing with a variety of learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and other mental issues. Often seen as a last resort for children who have nowhere else to go, the Tennyson Center is a community of people dedicated to serving children and youth and strengthening families and has been doing so for more than 112 years. The Mile High Q & Brew has raised over $1,000,000 for the Tennyson Center since it’s conception in 2010!

Molly’s participated in this year’s Mile High Country Q & Brew by hosting a Spirits Pull! What’s a Spirits Pull? Bottles are collected, numbered and displayed on shelves. Guests donate an amount (this year’s amount was $40) to pull a number that correlates to a bottle. It’s a guaranteed win for the Tennyson Center and the donor (you can’t loose with booze)! We’re thrilled to say the Molly’s Spirits Pull brought in over $4,000 for the Tennyson Center! This would not have been possible without the generous donations from the following distilleries:

The response we received from these distilleries was amazing! We collected 101 bottles – exceeding our original goal of 75 – and all 101 were raffled off in less than two hours! There’s nothing like coming together for a great cause, and luckily we were able to snap a few photos before the bottles were gone. Check out these brands next time you’re at Molly’s!
