It’s officially spring – time for patios and tequila cocktails! This sweet and spicy cocktail recipe is a play on a classic margarita by our friends at Azunia Tequila and will take your happy hour to the next level! Our tequila cocktail recipe serves one.
- Cocktail Shaker
- Fine strainer
- Rocks glass
|Azunia Reposado Tequila||1 shot|
|Ancho Reyes Chili Liqueur||1/2 ounce|
|Housemade Banana Syrup**||1/2 ounce|
|Fresh Lime Juice||1 lime|
|Dried Chili Flakes and/or Lime Slice||For garnish (optional)|
**To make banana syrup: boil 1 cup of water with 1-2 ripe bananas for approximately 10 mins. Remove from heat and strain through fine strainer, add equal parts sugar, stir until dissolved.**
Add tequila, Ancho Reyes Chili Liqueur, banana syrup and lime juice to shaker and shake away! Double strain into a glass of your choice. Garnish with dried chili or a lime slice or BOTH!
