Molly’s Rum Punch

This easy rum punch recipe is simple to make, and many home bars will have these ingredients on hand. If your home bar doesn’t have all of these ingredients, and it should, making a tropical alcoholic punch solves two things for you: 1) It helps stock your bar with necessary ingredients; and 2) It is a delicious, easy alcoholic punch to make and enjoy!

Bar supplies:

  • Shaker
  • Pint glass
  • Jigger
  • Ice
  • Stirring Spoon (optional)
Rum1 1/2 ounces
Orange Juice1 ounces
Lime Juice1/2 ounces
Pineapple Juice1/2 ounce
Simple SyrupSplash
Soda WaterTo fill
Orange1 slice to garnish
Maraschino Cherry1 to garnish


  1. Fill a shaker with ice then measure and add all the ingredients except the soda water and garnish.
  2. Shake the shaker until it is almost too cold to hold, or your arms are too tired to shake anymore.
  3. Fill a pint glass with ice and strain the mixture into it, filling the rest with soda water.
  4. Garnish and enjoy!


Play around with the rum you use, experimenting with white rums as well as aged rums. Also – play around with the glassware you use. For more of a fruity drink, use a hurricane glass. If you prefer, substitute a martini glass and serve this rum punch up, for more of a cocktail feel.
