Strawberry, Mint & Cucumber Martini
A delicious and refreshing summertime cocktail can be made entirely with seasonal fresh fruit and your favorite vodka or gin. This strawberry and cucumber mint martini recipe calls for using Hendricks gin because it is distilled with cucumber – as well as rose – so the fruits in the recipe pair very well with the gin. - Cocktail Shaker
- Martini glass (chilled)
- Stirring spoon (optional)
|Gin or Vodka||2 ounces|
|Cucumber||3 slices (one for the garnish)|
|Strawberries||3-4 (one for the garnish)|
|Lime||1/2 lime, cut into wedges|
|Simple Syrup*||1/2 ounce (or to taste)|
- In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, muddle limes first then add strawberries, mint, cucumber and either the simple syrup or a splash of the spirit – then muddle all ingredients together.
- Add ice and remaining spirit and simple syrup and shake until mixed and chilled to your satisfaction.
- Strain into a chilled martini glass or in a cocktail glass filled with ice. Garnish and enjoy.

Simple syrup is mixing equal parts of sugar and hot water.
To make: heat a cup of water until almost boiling, then add a cup of sugar and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved in the water.
